Weekend Reflection #1

Ok so I've been reading about Weekend Reflections for a while and thought I'd do my very first one today since I've really been getting into the blogging world lately. So here goes:

I'm trying to remember exactly what we did this week. I know it was a super busy one. So on Monday we had swimming lessons. Brennan at 9 and Jaxon at 11:15. I don't think we did anything else. I think we came home and I cleaned the house some and that's about it. Ian worked at the base and at Pepboys.

Tuesday we had swim lessons. I went to lunch at Olive Garden with my new friend Sarah and her darling baby Milo. (We met them at swimming!) Ian was off so I only had to take one boy at a time to his lesson and Jaxon went with me to lunch. It was great. Then I came home and did some laundry and Ian did the yard. We had an appointment so we went to that. Afterward we got the kids and did some stuff around the house. It's never ending. Then we took the kids to the babysitters and went out for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It's one of my all time favorite restaurants and they just opened one up near us. :) We came home and put the kids to bed and headed to bed since we still had a busy week.

Wednesday came with swim lessons again and not much else. I swear I clean constantly but you'd never know it! Ian came home from work at 5 and I made dinner. We got the kids ready for bed and then I left for water aerobics. I met Sarah there and we really had a good time. It was a great workout. I came home, woke Ian up (he'd fallen asleep on the couch) and we headed to bed.

Thursday was our last day of swim lessons. We had so much fun. They boys got certificate that said they successfully completed their level. The last ten minutes of class they turned all the fun stuff on and let the kids go at it. They had a blast. Afterwards, Sarah and I took the kids to the mall for lunch. Ian was called into work that night so we didn't do much but hang around the house and do laundry. When Ian got home, we put the kids to bed and headed there ourselves. Usually I watch a little tv before I fall asleep but this night I crashed.

Friday, Ian was off from both jobs again. He made pancakes for breakfast and I made beds and started laundry. We got ready and we headed to the Roy Aquatic Center for the day. Ian had never been there so it was a lot of fun. We'd stopped at the BX to get towels, sunscreen, and a floaty toy for Jaxon but turns out he didn't like the crab so much. I'm hoping he'll get used to it. It has a little cover so that he has shade from the sun. Ian and Brennan went down the slides together, and then Brennan and I had our turn. Finally Brennan decided he was a big boy and would go all by his self. He did great. We ate lunch and played for a while longer and then we headed home. We went to the commissary for a few things I needed to make dinner. When we got home, the kids napped and I started dinner. Ian ended up sun burnt on his shoulders but the rest of us were just tan. Poor guy!

Saturday, I did MORE cleaning and Ian worked on lowering his drive shaft (his fuel pump went out on his truck last week). I took him to work and came home. I spent the day doing housework and playing with the kids and checking out blogs that I'd come across. I went to pick him up at 8:00 and he wasn't done so I went to Babies R Us. I needed to get that inflatable bath tub that goes inside the big tub. Jaxon has now learned to splash in the sink and makes a HUGE mess every time I bathe him now. I bought him a few bath toys too. We will be trying this out tonight. After we got home from picking Ian up, I started making spinach artichoke dip and Ian ran to the walmart for a few things. When he got back we got the kids ready for bed and after they went to sleep we had our MASH date night. We are addicted to the show MASH and so we munched on chips and watched a few of the episodes we had taped. It was fun.

Today found to be another busy day. I woke up at 6 and fed Jaxon. We laid back down for about an hour and then I had to get up and shower. I had to take Ian to work and get to church. I worked in the nursery for the first hour and then I went to my class. We had a good class. I learned a lot. After church, I took the boys to Village Inn for lunch. We went to Target to pick up Brennan's friend Elliot's birthday present. When we got home Brennan quickly changed and headed out the door across the street for the party. I changed clothes, changed Jaxon, and wrapped Elliot's presents. Then we went across the street also. Even though it was a 5 year olds birthday party we had fun. I really enjoyed the company of the adults and got to know some of my neighbors a little better. We've only lived here a year! It's taken me long enough. :) Right now Jaxon is sleeping, Brennan is next door playing with the kids in the backyard, and I'm typing this. In about 45 minutes I will be going to get Ian from work, coming back, cooking dinner, and getting the kids ready for bed. We have another busy week ahead of us so hopefully I will be able to get to bed at a decent hour.

I hope you have had a wonderful week and have an even better one next week. For more Weekend Reflection please visit Judi.
